Cyclical Cosmos Theory

Beyond the Big Bang: A Hypothesis of the Space-Time-Consciousness Continuum and the Cyclical Nature of the Cosmos

This paper proposes a cosmological hypothesis that challenges the widely accepted Big Bang theory.

Instead, it introduces a paradigm rooted in the continuum of space, time, and consciousness (chit), suggesting a cyclic model of the cosmos governed by transformation rather than creation and destruction. In this model, hydrogen and light are the foundational constituents of matter and energy. White holes, steady-state phases, and black holes are analogous to the universe, which is not a product of a single event, but a dynamic system undergoing continuous cycles of destruction, preservation, and creation. The hypothesis also incorporates entropy, nuclear reactions, and vibrating energy fields, aligning with string theory to offer a potential unified theory of the cosmos.

1. Introduction.

The Big Bang theory and the concept of gravity as a fundamental force have long dominated Western cosmology. While these frameworks have contributed significantly to our understanding of the universe, they remain theories with unresolved inconsistencies and a lack of empirical validation at the quantum level. This paper critically examines these prevailing models and introduces an alternative hypothesis grounded in the ancient and metaphysical principles of the space-time consciousness continuum.

Central to this hypothesis is the idea that matter and energy are neither created nor destroyed but are transformed through continuous cycles. Consciousness (CHIT) is regarded as the primordial field that enables all phenomena, effectively replacing God with consciousness.

2. Scientific Assumptions and Criticism of Existing Models:

The Big Bang theory postulates an initial singularity from which the universe exploded. However, it fails to explain what preceded the singularity, the nature of time at that moment, or the mechanism by which this singularity came into being. Similarly, gravity, as described in general relativity, remains incompatible with quantum mechanics. The Standard Model of particle physics, while successful at describing electromagnetic, weak, and strong interactions, does not incorporate gravity.

These gaps have led to various speculative extensions such as inflation theory, dark energy, and multiverse hypotheses, none of which have been conclusively validated. Instead of pursuing increasingly complex modifications to the Big Bang framework, the paper suggests fundamental rethinking. The theory acknowledges that cosmic evolution is cyclical rather than linear.

3. Foundational Premise: The Space-Time-Consciousness (Chit) Continuum.

This hypothesis introduces a triadic continuum comprising space, time, and consciousness. Consciousness (CHIT) is not seen as an emergent property of biological systems but as a fundamental field, akin to space and time, that underpins all physical and metaphysical phenomena. As matter and energy interact on this continuum, the observable universe emerges.

Perception, memory, and intellectual cognition are byproducts of this continuum. Time, in particular, is posited as an illusion generated by consciousness through sequenced transformations. In this view, the universe is not evolving through a temporal arrow but undergoes simultaneous phases of transformation.

4. Hydrogen and Light as Primordial Entities.

The hypothesis identifies hydrogen as the first stable manifestation of matter. As the most abundant and simplest element in the universe, hydrogen has an atomic number of 1. Light, or photon energy, is the first form of energy arising from the excitation of a vibrating field.

Nuclear fusion in stars, particularly in the Sun, demonstrates how hydrogen nuclei combine to release massive amounts of energy and light. It is also a microcosmic equivalent to the larger cosmic transformation process driving stellar life cycles.

5. White Hole–Black Hole Duality and the Cyclical Cosmos.

In this model, the universe cycles through three phases.

· Creation (White Hole): Expansion and emission of matter-energy.

· Preservation (Steady-State): Balanced transformation and maintenance.

· Destruction (Black Hole): Absorption and contraction into potential states.

These phases are not sequential in time but exist across multiple regions of the cosmos, as a multiverse or a fractal universe undergoes its cycle. Black and white holes are not terminal events but gateways to this ongoing transformation.

6. The Role of Entropy and the Energy Vibrating Field:

Entropy, the measure of disorder, plays a central role in driving transformation. The increase in entropy corresponds to the generation of complex systems and their eventual disintegration. This is moderated by an "energy vibrating field," which acts as a catalyst and substrate for all reactions.

In string theory, vibrations are the fundamental constituents of reality, not particles. These vibrations, influenced by entropy and consciousness, describe the diversity of forms in the cosmos.

7. Multiverse and Quantum Seeds of Reality

The observation of multiple black holes and cosmic anomalies supports the idea that our universe is one of many. Like a white hole elsewhere, black holes can create new regions of space-time. Thus, the multiverse is not speculative but a natural consequence of the cyclic continuum.

Subatomic particles, such as quarks and hadrons, may be composed of even smaller semi-singular entities yet undiscovered. These entities remain dormant only to be activated by the energy of a vibrating field, suggesting that quantum seeds exist in a pre-reactive state across the cosmos.

8. Reinterpreting Singularity and Time

Contrary to the Big Bang's notion of singularity as a dense point of infinite mass and zero volume, this hypothesis redefines singularity as a non-reactive, timeless quantum state. Time, as an illusion, becomes unnecessary in this model. True singularity is pure consciousness (chit), existing beyond time and space yet giving rise to both.

A vibrational field replaces the linear timeline with a cyclic system governed by entropy, energy, and consciousness.

9. Philosophical Integration:

The triadic process of creation, preservation, and destruction mirrors ancient Indian cosmological concepts associated with Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva. These are not deities in a religious sense but archetypes of cosmic functions.

The hypothesis reconciles science and spirituality by replacing the egoic concept of a divine creator with the field of consciousness.

10. Conclusion:

The cosmos, according to this hypothesis, is an eternally self-transforming continuum where space, time, and consciousness co-create matter and energy. The Big Bang is not a factual beginning but a philosophical interpretation of one phase in a never-ending cycle. The singularity is not a point but a field of consciousness, and gravity is a function of vibrational energy.

With support from emerging physical theories like string theory, this model extends beyond current cosmology and explores new possibilities.

Chit: The Fundamental Cognitive Substratum

Definition:
Chit is the non-local, non-temporal cognitive potential—the unchanging, content-independent substrate that enables all perception, discrimination, and awareness. It is not a process or product of the mind, but the precondition for all cognitive phenomena, analogous to a reference frame in physics or the readability layer in information systems.

Chit’s Description

Unchanging, formless, not affected by mental or sensory content

Enables Recognition, awareness, and differentiation without cognition

Like a reference frame—essential for measuring motion, but not part of the motion

Like the readability layer-making data accessible, but it is not the data or the processor

Operates across all states (waking, dreaming, sleeping), yet remains untouched by them

Not intellect, not memory—the condition that makes those functions operable

Scientific-Philosophical Summary

Chit is a pre-cognitive, intrinsic field of discernment that underlies and enables all conscious experience without itself being aware of it. Unlike brain-based intelligence or mental awareness, Chit is a substrate, not a signal; it is the field, not the content; it is the known potential.
