Om namo bhagavate vasudevaya
Vedic interpretation.
Om namo bhagavate vasudevaya is known as a Mukti, or liberation, Mantra ·
 Om, I bow in reverence to the supreme Lord Vasudevaya, the all-pervading essence of all beings and the sustainer of creation. ·
 Salutations to the indweller who is omnipresent, omnipotent, immortal and divine O my Lord, the all-pervading Personality of Godhead, I offer my respectful obeisance’s unto you.
Om- the Supreme Infinite sprit
Namo-  salutation, adoration, homage, respect
Bhagavate- There is six bhagas indicative of Divinity.--Only God (Bhagavan) or His true incarnations can possess these six attributes of a living creator- 1. jnyana (omniscience-One having total knowledge), 2. bala (omnipotence- One having unlimited power or authority), 3. Aishwarya (lordship), 4. shakti (creative power or energy), 5. virya (immutability- unchanging through time; unalterable; ageless) and 6. tejas (splendor).
Vasudeva- is vishva ka deva or Jagat pita- Father of Krishna- the supreme personality of god head. (When Purushottam incarnates on Earth in his FULLEST form, He as 16 symbols of divinity on his feet, and He is called Purna Purushottam. Krishna Bhagwan had the 16 symbols, so He was Purna Purushottam. Ram Bhagwan, had only 12 symbols. So He was a partial incarnation of Purushottam, and He was called Maryada Purushottam, not Purna Purushottam)

 Om- the vibration of the universe that communicates with its creation

 Life on earth is made up of intelligence, energy, and matter (mortal or physical plane); hence the son of Vasudeva, Krishna was called Bhagavan. In the absence of matter (immortal or astral plane) he (it) is called Parameshwara In the absence of energy and matter (Divine or celestial plane) he (it) is the son of Vasudeva (activated consciousness) called Parabrahma or Paramatma He (it) is Consciousness, the absolute   Jayram Daya    





 My understanding of the mantra as a free thinker is; With the vibration of the universe, I acknowledge the activated consciousness with the designed attributes of a creator, allowing me to recognize its creator and its creation.
